ABOUT

I hold a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and a postgraduate qualification in Textiles and Clothing, both earned at JBAS (formerly SIET College) in Chennai.

My journey led me into the realm of fashion, where I served as a designer at Western Express in Chennai, channeling my creative talents into this field.

In the realm of music, my journey has been equally fascinating. I had the privilege of learning Carnatic music under the guidance of esteemed gurus like Srimathi. Janaki Swaminathan, Srimathi, Rukumini, and Sri. Karunanidhi. I also pursued a Diploma in Carnatic Music through the faculty of Fine Arts at Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan in Coimbatore.

A significant influence in my life is my mother, the renowned Srimathi. Janaki Swaminathan, an esteemed All India Radio B High-Grade Artist. She has graced audiences with numerous concerts in India and even performed at the prestigious Ulaga Thamizh Maanadu in Sri Lanka, earning accolades from Thamizh Isai Sangam. I credit her with inspiring and guiding me into the world of music.

My dedication to music runs deep, with a rich 48-year journey that began when I was just 5 years old, embarking on my musical path at Balasubramania Sangeetha Sabha.

In an effort to pass on the gift of music, I've devoted the past 22 years to teaching Carnatic Music. My commitment extends to both in-person and virtual instruction, facilitated through the "SAI BODHI CULTURAL ACADEMY." Through this endeavor, I've played a pivotal role in shaping the musical journeys of many aspiring students, and it has been a deeply rewarding experience.

I Take Classes every Tuesday and Thursday between 5 - 7 pm.
